About
A clean line from the federal record
The Federal Register is the daily journal of the U.S. government: every proposed rule, final rule, agency notice and presidential document is published there. Most of it never reaches local news, yet plenty of it is about Ohio: air-quality plans for Ohio counties, rail line abandonments, disaster declarations, permits on the Ohio River and Lake Erie, nuclear plant licences, trade-zone approvals.
Ohio Newsline reads the Federal Register's public API every two hours and lists the documents that match "Ohio", each with the Federal Register's own title, summary, agency, dates and a link to the official page and PDF. It marks whether Ohio is named in the title or summary, or only found by the Federal Register's full-text search.
What it is not
Ohio Newsline is an independent index. It is not the Federal Register, a government site or a news outlet. It does no reporting, writes no stories and uses no AI to rewrite anything. It is not legal advice: the official text governs.
Who runs it
Ohio Newsline is built and maintained by WeldonPC. It runs on its own, with no staff, moderators or outside writers. Its public reading pages show one banner ad from adengine.us, WeldonPC's own small ad network, below the content; the ad never changes which documents appear or their order (Privacy says what it loads).
